Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is a well-established company providing comfortable eco-accommodation within the Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle). The lodge features 27 cabins and caters to groups and independent travellers from around the world. In addition, the Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge partners with Bungle Bungle Guided Tours and East Kimberley Tours to provide guided tours through the national park.


We are seeking two dynamic chefs or cooks for the 2018 season to provide hearty ‘homestyle-with-flair’ meals for up to 60 guests and staff. This role will involve some early mornings to provide breakfast from 6 am, and dinner each night at 6.30pm. Packed lunches are provided daily for walking tours, plus staff lunches daily, and buffet lunches for in-house tour groups every second or third day. The successful applicants will need to be organised and creative to operate this remote kitchen, as stores need to be ordered a week in advance and flown in by light aircraft.


This role is a seasonal live in position (April to October), working 21 days on 6 days off roster. The lodge operates with a team of approximately 13 people working a rotating roster to share the morning and evening shifts. Meals and accommodation are provided on site, and air transfers are provided in and out of the national park.


The successful applicants will be suitably experienced, confident, well presented, reliable, and self-motivated individuals with great interpersonal skills, and available to commence April 2018.
