Vacancies at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge

Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is a boutique eco-lodge in the middle of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park. We’re always looking for the best chefs, managers, maintenance crew, all-rounders and tour guides to join our vibrant team. We only select people who are passionate about providing an amazing customer experience. Our main employment criteria is a passion for the outdoors, a friendly and upbeat attitude and the resilience to live in a remote, warm environment.

Working life at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is a unique and rewarding experience. Each day, our staff have either an early start, late start or split shift, which means they have plenty of time to enjoy this remarkable landscape. On your time off, we provide an amazing scenic flight over Lake Argyle and some time in Kununurra for you to either relax and recoup in our air-conditioned staff housing, or hit the road and explore everything the Kimberley has to offer.

Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge provides all meals and accommodation for their staff whilst at the lodge. Due to our remote location, its also a great opportunity to save money. Most of our staff save during the dry season (April-Sep) and then spend the wet season (Sep-Mar) exploring the Kimberley and broader Western Australia, before returning for another seasonal contract. The Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is not a place for partying but instead for those who love the outdoors and enjoy keeping fit and healthy.

Our staff accommodation is authentically Australian, with secure, raised canvas safari tents, a shared abolition block and fire pit to make damper or enjoy on cool evening nights. Our staff area is constantly evolving and developing to provide a genuine outback experience. There’s no need for kitchen facilities because all meals are provided, and we can assure you that our chef-prepared food is delicious!

We work alongside the Traditional Owners of Purnululu National Park and are privileged to have some stay with us at the Lodge during the season. There is no better way to learn about the rich Aboriginal culture and history of Purnululu and the surrounding region than from a Traditional Owner themselves.

There are some things you’ll need to live without – fast internet, movie cinemas, McDonalds, air-conditioning, long train commutes, pollution, bustling crowds, finding a parking spot, road rage and double shifts, but take it from us… you’ll survive.

When you work at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge, you work for a family-run business that takes care of it’s people. Many of our staff say that their time at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge was an incredible experience – a mix of rewarding work, lovely guests, amazing days off, new friends and a healthy bank account.

If you’re an experienced chef or tour guide, we’d love to hear from you for our 2023 season. If you’re just looking for a change of scenery and a new challenge, we’re always considering applications and hire on a needs basis, and love to accept couple applications. Please email your application and detailed CV to [email protected]
