- Dynamic Tourism Couple Required for Remote Eco-Lodge

Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge and Bungle Bungle Guided Tours are well established award winning companies providing guided tours and accommodation in Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle). We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic couple to fill the roles of Maintenance / Tourism Allrounder and Assistant Manager for the 2021 season.
You will provide hands on support and leadership through all areas of Lodge and Tour operations including hosting guests, housekeeping, F&B, administration and acting as Lodge and Tours Manager during rostered weeks off.
You will be approachable, energetic and adaptable, and be confident leading a team of approximately 12 for one week out of four. A reasonable degree of computer and administration acumen is essential to this role, along with a problem solving attitude and willingness to pitch in and assist in all areas of the lodge.
Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder
This is a wide and varied role responsible for Lodge and Tours maintenance, and relief Tour Guiding through the National Park. You will be responsible for the presentation and upkeep of lodge grounds and infrastructure, freight and waste transfers, vehicles and machinery maintenance, operation of the solar and diesel generator power system, and basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical, to ultimately ensure the 24 hour operation of the lodge and daily tour operations. You will also be responsible for leading guided hikes of up to 30 passengers through the Purnululu National Park.
You will be a committed team player, who is comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment, where flexibility and adaptability is key.
These roles are seasonal live in positions from April through to the end of September, working a 21 days on 7 days off roster. The lodge operates with a team of approximately 13 people working a rotating roster to share around the evening shifts. Meals and accommodation are provided on site, and air transfers are available in and out of the national park from Kununurra.
The successful applicants will:
- Be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
- Have a friendly disposition, and a great team attitude.
- Have experience in a remote setting with similar responsibilities.
- Be committed to outstanding customer service and willing to go above and beyond for our diverse range of guests.
- Be fit, energetic and able to work in hot rugged conditions.
- Have a reasonable computer acumen and ability to pick up new systems (Assistant Manager).
- Have an advanced mechanical aptitude or trade qualification (Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder).
- Have a minimum MR drivers license – with an F Endorsement (Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder).
- Off-road driving experience advantageous. (Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder).
- Have an interest in and willingness to learn interpretive commentary on the Purnululu National Park including aspects of flora, fauna, local history and geology. (Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder)
- Be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screens.
- Hold a current RSA or be able to obtain if required.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
- A background or interest in Wilderness Tourism would be highly regarded.

The lodge features 27 cabins and caters to groups and independent travellers. In addition, the Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge partners with Bungle Bungle Guided Tours and East Kimberley Tours to provide guided tours through the national park.
We are seeking three dynamic General Hand / Lodge Hosts for the 2021 season. Duties in this role are varied and include housekeeping, public areas cleaning, food and beverage service, kitchen duties, customer service, and other duties as required around the lodge.
This role is a seasonal live-in position (April to end of September), working a 21 days on 7 days off roster. The lodge operates with a team of approximately 13 people working a rotating roster to share around the morning and evening shifts. Meals and accommodation are provided on-site, and air transfers are provided from Kununurra in and out of the national park.
The successful applicant will be confident, well presented, physically fit, reliable, and self-motivated, and available to commence April 2021 through to late September 2021.

Do you have a passion for creative and nutritious food and enjoy working in an open plan kitchen? Could you handle dark nights with a billion stars, or picture yourself listening to the crackle of a camp-fire each night? Would you enjoy working in a remote location and World Heritage-listed National Park?
Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is a well-established award-winning company providing eco-accommodation within the Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle). The lodge features 27 cabins and caters to groups and independent travellers. In addition, Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge partners with Bungle Bungle Guided Tours and East Kimberley Tours to provide guided tours through the national park.
We are seeking two creative and dynamic chefs for the 2021 season. Our style is predominately buffet, fresh homestead style meals infused with native ingredients. This is a varied role, requiring you to be hands-on in every aspect of the kitchen. This will include food preparation, service and delivery, cleaning, stock delivery and rotation as well as offering support with menu costing and ordering; as this is a remote location, all stock is flown in and needs to be ordered at least a week in advance.
The role will include some early mornings, with breakfast from 6am, and dinner from 6:30pm. You will be providing daily packed lunches for walking tours, as well as staff meals. Buffet-style lunches for in-house tour groups will be required throughout the week. Covers can be up to 60 people at any one time.
You will need to be highly organised and well presented, with a passion for cooking and a creative flair. You must be willing to be the face of the kitchen and interact with guests, with excellent customer service skills. You must be comfortable to adapt to ever-changing conditions.
