The Bungle Bungle range in Purnululu National Park is one of the most striking geological landmarks in Western Australia, offering a remote wilderness experience in the extraordinary Kimberley region.
Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge is located at Bellburn Private Operators camp within the national park, approximately 65km from the Spring Creek Track turn off on the Great Northern Highway. Do not be distracted by the Bungle Bungle Caravan Park, situated on the junction of the Great Northern Highway and Spring Creek track. You still have 51 km to get to the Bungle Bungle Range!
It is recommended that high clearance 4WD vehicles be used on the Spring Creek Track and that you check on road conditions and accessibility with the Department for Parks & Wildlife Visitor Information Centre within the park before setting off on your drive to Purnululu. Ph (Bungle Bungle): 9168 7300. Off road trailers, also with high clearance, are also permitted. Two wheel drive vehicles are not permitted in the Park.
The 51km drive on the Spring Creek Track can sometimes take up to 2 hours (each way). The drive from Kununurra to the Spring Creek turn-off is via the Victoria Highway for approximately 45km to the west of Kununurra, before turning onto the Great Northern Highway and travelling a further 205km on the Great Northern Highway to the turn off .
From Halls Creek, the drive is 110km north of Halls Creek on the Great Northern Highway to the Spring Creek Track turn off.
